Not all players like the New York Yankees, and it’s not the first time some have voiced their opinion. Many stars were not big fans of the franchise, and several players continue to express their dislike for the club. Recently, the Boston Red Sox’s rookie pitcher, Hunter Dobbins, made a bold claim before pitching against the team.
Dobbing said he would retire if the Yankees were the last team to offer him a contract. The pitcher received massive backlash from fans, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. was one of the few players to respond to the pitcher. Chisholm shared Dobbins’ quote on his status and wrote, “See ya at 7.”

The Yankees lost against the Red Sox, but Dobbins was rocked with back-to-back home runs. After the game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone was asked about his reaction to Hunter Dobbins’ comment. Boone dropped a strong two-word reaction on the pitcher’s comments.
“He’s young,” Boone said.
The manager ensured to respond maturely while he grinned at Dobbins’ comment.
“It sounds like a hypothetical. He’s young, I don’t think it’s a dig at our players. It’s an interesting comment as a player to make that, but I think it’s just a comment for the love of his team,” Aaron Boone continued.

New York Yankees Suffer Huge Blow As Pitching Falters

The Red Sox were formidable in their performance against the Yanks. The Bronx Bombers had a strong offensive game after scoring seven runs, but the pitching was a disaster. Carlos Rodon had a bad start after surrendering five earned runs in five innings pitched.
Rodon recorded five strikeouts and walked three opponent hitters. The team’s bullpen was unable to hold it down as Tim Hill and Jonathan Loaisiga surrendered extra runs. Brent Headrick gave up a solo homer to Rafael Devers as the Red Sox took the series.
It’s been a rough week for the Yankees, and their MLB power rankings are expected to drop after their slump last week.
