Brett Gardner and his wife Jessica are mourning the death of their 14-year-old son Miller, but the pain is still to end for the couple.
The beloved former New York Yankees outfielder’s son tragically died during a vacation in Costa Rica. The situation is even more distressing as the family will have to go through a long wait.
As per Daily Mail, the Gardners will have to wait for up to 90 days for answers about how their son passed away. This delay is a result of a backlog in autopsy cases due to a troubling spike in violence linked to drug gangs in the area.
Miller’s was found in his hotel room at the beautiful Arenas del Mar Beachfront and Rainforest Resort. The night before, he and his family had experienced a sudden bout of illness. They experienced severe stomach cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea, prompting them to seek help from the resort’s doctor.
