Mullins, a former All-Star and a core piece of the Orioles’ recent rebuild, has not entered any extension talks, per his agent.

First baseman Ryan O’Hearn has been one of the few bright spots for Baltimore this year. The 30-year-old first baseman has posted a .966 OPS, fourth-best in all of MLB, making him one of the most attractive trade chips on the market. He is also in the final year of his deal, which only boosts the likelihood of a move before the trade deadline.
Acquired from Kansas City for cash considerations in January 2023, O’Hearn has become a mainstay in the Orioles’ lineup. His value has never been higher, and a midseason deal could net Baltimore a strong return.
The Orioles appear ready to look toward the future as the deadline approaches. Top prospects like Enrique Bradfield Jr., Coby Mayo, Vance Honeycutt, and Samuel Basallo could soon get their chance if these moves materialize.
