The Boston Red Sox already have a packed roster. And their top prospect is giving them all the reason to make one big adjustment soon.
Recently, the Red Sox future star, Roman Anthony, has everyone buzzing after he belted a jaw-dropping grand slam at Polar Park. Anthony helped the Triple-A Worcester team secure a 10-4 victory over the Rochester Red Wings.
His home run hit traveled 497 feet and hit the bat at a staggering 115.6 miles per hour, making it the longest dinger in affiliated baseball this season.

Impressively, it also ranks among the longest home runs tracked by Statcast since 2015.
WooSox manager Chad Tracy was clearly excited about the hit, saying, “That ball was murdered.”
After taking a rare day off, Anthony returned to the game ready to show what he’s made of. Even though he had a couple of near misses earlier in the game, he made sure no one could catch his big moment.

MLB Insider Have One Suggestion For Red Sox Regarding Roman Anthony

While Anthony has for sure got the attention of the Red Sox front office, many are endorsing him.
Fans are eager for his big league debut, particularly after Ken Rosenthal from The Athletic suggested a controversial strategy.
According to Rosenthal, Boston should call up Anthony while demoting second baseman Kristian Campbell.
Rosenthal believes that this exchange would enhance the team’s overall performance, particularly defensively, following Campbell’s recent poor game against the Yankees, in which he mishandled a ground ball that contributed to runs scored.
He proposed a defensive lineup featuring Anthony in left field, with Jarren Duran in center and possibly either Ceddanne Rafaela or David Hamilton at second base.
However, while the idea of improving the defense is appealing, the practicality of making such adjustments midseason raises concerns.
Campbell, who has shown potential and started the season strong, is only 22, and sending him down after his recent struggles may hinder his development. And also noted that the Red Sox have made a substantial $80 million investment.
