Cody Bellinger is having a great start with his new team. The All-Star is happy to be in the Bronx, and he’s already impressed by several stars. While a number of players have Belli’s attention, one player has blown him away with his top performance.
Spring training is when teams experiment and allow upcoming stars to showcase their skills. The Yankees have several top players in the making, and one promising candidate is Ben Rice. In 2024, he had a rough path, but his 2025 preseason has been incredible.
Rice smashed five home runs in just 46 at-bats, and Cody Bellinger is taken up with his performance. Bellinger says he enjoys watching him play as he continues to smash hits.
“He’s controlling every at-bat, it seems, and hitting the absolute sh*t out of the ball. That ball today was hit really hard. It’s fun to watch. Fun to watch him work, and it seems as if he has a really good idea of what he wants and what he wants to accomplish,” Cody Bellinger said.

Bellinger is having a blast in pinstripes, and he’s all set to have a promising season. The All-Star smashed three home runs in 40 at-bats. As Bellinger mentioned, he’s happy with his consistency while he focuses on picking up the pace for the team.
“I like where I’m at. Just making day-by-day adjustments depending on how I feel and really like where my consistency is at. Just stay right there,” Cody Bellinger said via New York Sports.
It’s crucial for Belli to stay healthy with the Yanks. The Bronx Bombers cannot afford to have another injured player. Bellinger will play a crucial role alongside Paul Goldschmidt and Aaron Judge. Ben Rice might be able to contribute as well.
The Yankees still have a strong offense as they enter this season. While Stanton’s absence will certainly cost the team, the others are showing promise in spring training. They also seem to have another promising pitcher for their starting rotation.
