Dennis Santana Secures The First Save With The Pirates In 2025
Santana had great command and control when he took the mound to secure his first save in 2025. He threw a scoreless night inning and walked only one opponent hitter. The Pirates demoted David Bednar to Triple-A, and Santana gave them their first save.
Santana threw 24 pitches and struck out the Rays with ease. He’s currently holding a 2.70 ERA with three strikeouts in 3.1 innings pitched. Dennis Santana seems to have improved his performance. The pitcher will play a crucial role for the Pirates this season.
