The New York Yankees acquired Devin Williams to bolster their bullpen. Williams, who is known for his unique air bender, is not having a great start to the season. The 30-year-old pitcher was acquired from the Brewers during the offseason, and fans are beginning to dislike him.
Williams recorded a few good starts, but he’s not been the ideal closer for the team. Sadly, he has not secured a win yet as he holds a 0-2 record. What’s worse is that Williams has a miserably 11.25 ERA. Yankees fans took to social media to rip the pitcher for his poor performance.

Devin Williams Fails To Secure A Win Against The Toronto Blue Jays

The Yankees welcomed the Blue Jays at home for a three-game series. Carlos Carrasco did a fine job on the mound as their starter. Carrasco restricted the Blue Jays from scoring. While Tim Hill surrendered a home run, Williams was unable to do much at the end.
The pitcher failed to close the game after surrendering three earned runs. Williams had zero strikeouts and recorded another loss. The Yanks could have won if Williams had pitched well. However, his disastrous outing cost the team.
Despite their loss, the Bronx Bombers are still on top of their division with a 15-11 record. The Yanks need extra power at the plate and eagerly await Giancarlo Stanton’s return.
