On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers came off a humiliating loss against their NL West rival. The defending World Series champions were no match against their opponent as they surrendered 11 runs and scored only one in return.
It was a disaster as Dylan Cease dominated their mighty offense. To make things worse, the team showed little interest in fighting back. Dave Roberts gave the ball the Kike Hernandez in the sixth inning, and it seemed like they already gave up on winning.
Dodgers fans couldn’t help but blame the team for not attempting to win against the Padres. Fans lashed out with furious reactions on X.

“That was pathetic. Not b/c of the loss b/c the Dodgers org didn’t want to win. Sauer is not a competitive option and then Kike in the 6th? Yikes. White Sox Bush League stuff & vs. our top competitor. Weak. Bad form,” one fan wrote.

“Never in my life have I ever seen a manager of a professional baseball team purposely lose a game before it even began, until tonight. Past these words, I’m actually speechless. What a travesty to the game of baseball,” one fan wrote.

Dodgers’ Pitching Struggles Continue As Injuries Take A Toll

The team’s biggest issue is its starting rotation. With seven pitchers placed on the IL, the club is struggling to make ends meet. Dave Roberts is forced to have the bullpen pitch occasionally.
Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and Roki Sasaki have shown no signs of returning anytime soon. The Boys in Blue are currently in a tough spot until their starting pitchers return. The Dodgers are also linked to sluggers as the MLB trade deadline approaches.
