The Los Angeles Dodgers might be the defending World Series champions, but they are certainly not undefeatable. The Boys in Blue had one of the worst games against the Houston Astros, as their defensive disaster brought them humiliation at Dodger Stadium.
Offensively, they struggled to score more than one run while surrendering 18. It turns out that they recorded the largest blowout loss at home and fans are upset about their poor performance. Some fans were more angry since it came against the Houston Astros.
The only solo home run was from Will Smith. Ben Casparius struggled on the mound after surrendering six earned runs in just three innings pitched. The Dodgers’ offense failed against the Astros’ dominant pitching from Lance McCullers Jr.
It was a night to forget, and they could only hope to come back stronger in Game 2. Shohei Ohtani will take the nod against Framber Valdez.

It was undoubtedly a humiliating loss for Shohei Ohtani and his team. The Astros proved to be a threat, but the Dodgers still hold the best record in baseball, and they have always found a way to get back in the game. Pitchers like Clayton Kershaw are having a great run with several achievements.
