The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a hard loss against the Chicago Cubs in an extra-inning battle. MLB fans were on their feet as both teams put up a great show in Wrigley Field. The defending World Series champions failed to secure a win despite holding a three-run lead at the bottom of the eighth inning.
Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Herandez and Tommy Edman had a great game for the team. However, they were unable to hold on to a 10-7 lead as Kyle Tucker Miguel Amaya went deep to tie the game at the bottom of the ninth.
The Dodgers almost won the game, but let it slip away, and fans lashed out at the team for squandering their lead. Several fans called out Max Muncy for his poor performance. Here’s a look at some fan reactions from X.

“Muncy, seriously how is he in the lineup. I keep saying it, but at this level you have to produce. period. He has almost a zero on the year. He just needed to put the ball in play but is just swinging out of control and missing by a mile,” one fan chimed in.

We can't keep going on with the bottom of the order being useless. Call up Hyeseong Kim. Call up Estuery Ruiz. We need better offense. Max Muncy can't do it. Andy Pages can't do it. We need to make changes.

Chicago Cubs’ Strong Defense Triumphs Over The Dodgers

The Cubs might have surrendered 10 runs, but their defense was what helped them win at the last minute. Jon Berti made a leaping catch at the top of the ninth inning, while Justin Turner made a diving stop to prevent Will Smith from reaching first base.
Offensively, the Cubs had a productive game. The Cubs are now on top of the NL Central with a 15-10 record. As for the Dodgers, they dropped to the second spot in the NL West while the Padres sit on top.
The Cubs are ranked at No. 5 in the MLB power rankings for week 4, while the Dodgers are ranked at No. 2.
