After a memorable 2024 campaign, this season has been a rollercoaster for Los Angeles Dodgers fans. The reigning World Series Champions have been struggling with injuries and offensive inconsistency this season, and fans have started to lose their patience.
Saturday’s 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals marked yet another night where the bats failed to deliver, wasting a strong start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto and pushing frustration to the boiling point.

Yamamoto tossed six shutout innings with nine strikeouts, but the Dodgers’ offense couldn’t back him up. LA went 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position, leaving 11 men on base. Over their last two games, the team is just 1-for-25 with RISP and has stranded 21 runners in total.
The Cardinals broke through in the eighth with Alec Burleson’s infield RBI hit, and despite scoring on a wild pitch in the ninth, the Dodgers couldn’t complete the comeback. Nolan Arenado sealed it with a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.
Fans React After Yet Another Offensive Failure

The loss dropped the Dodgers to 38-27 on the season. That inconsistency has left fans scratching their heads and looking for answers.

I'm not in St. Louis at the game and didn't spend any money, but I feel like I should be compensated for this pathetic display

“This looks like some of their past post season offensive slumps. It hard to fathom that this much talent could all slump at the same time. It’s even harder to imagine that these slumps happen as frequently as they do,” one fan wrote.
