The MLB trade deadline is approaching quickly, and Eugenio Suarez was often linked to several teams. The Arizona Diamondbacks are having a tough run as they sit in fourth place in the competitive NL West division.
The D’backs are still one game behind the .500 mark and trail the Giants, Padres, and Dodgers. Arizona is 12.5 games behind the top spot, and it’s not getting any better with multiple players in the IL.
The pitching rotation is poorly hit, and trading Eugenio Suarez will worsen things for the team. Despite several teams linked to Suarez, the D’backs star snubbed his rivals with his bold message.
“I don’t want to leave Arizona, Obviously, we know how the business of baseball is. But right now, I feel comfortable. I feel every time we win a game, we’ve got a chance to make the playoffs. Every time we lose, maybe something like that pops into my mind, which is not good for me. I don’t want to get traded,” Suarez said via the Athletic.

Suarez is keen to remain with the Diamondbacks. On the other hand, it will be hard for the team to part ways with one of their best sluggers.

The D’backs might be losing right now, but they will not part ways with a player who could help them reach the playoffs in the future. Suarez is on a hot-hitting streak and is keen to help his team make the playoffs.
Suarez has a .250 batting average with a .318 OBP and a .879 OPS. He also has 27 home runs and 70 RBIs in just 312 at-bats. Suarez is ranked fourth on the MLB home run leaders list this season.
Eugenio Suarez has played for four teams in his MLB career. His wife and daughters love Arizona, and they seem to have settled down pretty well. The Diamondbacks might let go of their star player even if they get a huge offer. The D’backs have improved their week 13 MLB power rankings but are still far behind.
