Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers are having a great start to the 2025 season.
The team is currently undefeated, and that is largely credited to Betts’ timely hit a few days ago.
Even though the Dodgers have learned to never count Betts out, they had their lingering doubts about him being at his best since he was in poor shape.
He had fallen sick ahead of the team’s Cactus League finale, an undiagnosed illness that kept him out of the season-opening Tokyo Series. He showed how back he was last week.
The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their red-hot start to the 2025 campaign on Friday night after picking up an 8-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers thanks to a walk-off three-run home run from Mookie Betts.
A still shot from that moment shows Betts after making contact, but what was even crazier was a woman behind him.

Mookie Betts Had an Unfortunate Illness That Made Him Lose Weight
Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts is enjoying life after battling a sickness that led to him losing weight.
Betts caught a virus that caused him to lose about 20 pounds.
Betts couldn’t keep any food down when he was feeling his worst.
Now, he is gaining all of his weight back.
