Giancarlo Stanton is making progress toward returning to the New York Yankees lineup. Stanton has yet to make his 2025 MLB season debut, and Yankees fans are eagerly waiting for the slugger. Despite his absence, the Yanks are doing a fairly decent job with their offense.
Jasson Dominguez, Ben Rice, and Trent Grisham have picked up the pace for the team. All three players have been excellent with their offense as they continue to go deep for the team. Yankees fans are happy with their performance, but Stanton is undeniably a fan favorite.

A few fans were shocked to see the post, but not many were sure if it’s true. As per facts, there is no official report from the New York Yankees or the MLB stating that Stanton said such a thing. Neither Aaron Boone nor Brian Cashman talked about it. Hence, without proper proof, the statement seems false.

Yankees Would Not Risk Playing Giancarlo Stanton On Defense

The Bronx Bombers have one of the best-designated hitters in the league. They would not want to play Stanton on defense. Moreover, they have three options for their third base position. D.J. LeMahieu is expected to return soon, while Oswaldo Cabrera and Oswald Peraza are also third basemen.
Stanton is recovering and has started taking live BP sessions. The slugger is poised to return sometime before the All-Star break. Stanton is the perfect DH and an excellent postseason performer.
Yankees fans want him to get back healthy and remain on the roster, especially during the offseason. Stanton hit 27 home runs last season and recorded a .233 batting average.
