Juan Soto’s departure with the New York Yankees didn’t sit well with their fans. Despite their colossal offer to retain the All-Star slugger, Soto picked the New York Mets for several reasons. While he seems to enjoy his time in Queens, the slugger recently claimed that the Yankees were No.1.
Soto mentioned the Yanks were No.1 from day one, but he was unsure about the future.
“The Yankees were No. 1 from day one. I know the Yankees are going to be good for the next five, six years. We don’t know after that,” Soto said
Yankees fans were unhappy that Juan Soto picked the Mets for several other reasons. Following his statement, fans took to social media to troll the slugger. Here’s a look at some fan reactions from X.
“Hope to see him do well, it sucks he left though but you aren’t getting a suite etc if Judge/Jeter didn’t,” one fan responded.

“This makes zero sense lmao. To sit here and insinuate 6 years from now the Mets have a better chance of being good is hilarious,” another fan responded.

Juan Soto Is Set To Reach New Milestones In 2025

Soto is all set to have a great run with the Mets. The slugger had a strong season with the Yankees and is set to reach new milestones in 2025. Soto is only 66 hits away from reaching his first 1,000 hits.
It will be easy for Juan Soto to reach his milestone this season. Apart from closing in on 1,000 hits, Soto is predicted to hit 40 home runs or more. The Mets have also strengthened their playoff chances with Soto on the team.
While Soto is settling down with the Mets, the Yankees are predicted to bring in their former utility player.
