
With this year’s MLB All-Star Futures games, it will be a full circle moment for two of the former Atlanta Braves stars.
Recently, the MLB has announced that Hall of Famer Chipper Jones and two-time All-Star Marquis Grissom will manage the NL and AL teams, respectively.
With the dates approaching, this announcement promises to reignite the nostalgia of Braves fans. Both players have a great history with the team, dating back to their days on the field together.
However, the game will take place at Truist Park in Atlanta and mark the 26th edition of this showcase event featuring top Minor League prospects.

Chipper Jones, who played his entire 19-year career with the Braves, is regarded as one of the franchise’s greatest players. He is best known for his incredible consistency and offensive plays.

Jones was a key figure in the Braves’ dominance during a period that included a World Series championship in 1995 and 14 consecutive division titles. He had a career batting average of .303 and a Hall of Fame induction in 2018.
Meanwhile, Marquis Grissom, who shared the field with Jones during the 1995 championship run and was a crucial player throughout the postseason.

While Jones and Grisson will lead the teams as managers, there will be other stars joining the event, too.
For the NL squad, the coaching lineup is nothing short of impressive. Mark DeRosa will be at the helm as the bench coach.
Additionally, Andruw Jones will contribute as the hitting coach, sure to inspire the future MLB stars at the plate. On the pitching side, Tim Hudson, a seasoned All-Star, will lead the charge, while Tyler Flowers takes on the first base coaching role.

Kanekoa Texeira is set to coach third base as well. Together, this group is ready to make a meaningful impact on the game and the players.
However, Grissom’s AL team is also bringing an exciting mix of coaching talent. Jerry Manuel will step in as the bench coach, offering his wealth of experience to support the team.
Fans will be particularly excited to see another Hall of Famer, Fred McGriff, take on the role of hitting coach. Marvin Freeman will keep an eye on the pitchers as the pitching coach.
Adding to the mix, Dale Murphy, another two-time MVP, will be coaching first base. Moreover, Brian Hunter will be handling the third base coaching duties.
