The Los Angeles Dodgers fans are really excited about the upcoming games, and so are Freddie Freeman and his family. The team has high hopes for the roster, especially from Freeman. Everybody is awaiting him to win it all for his fans as well as his family.
Recently, the Dodgers superstar’s wife, Chelsea Freeman, opened up about the special bond Freddie and his kids share. She talked about what it means for her and her young sons to watch their dad play. According to her, the boys have something extra to wake up for the day when Mr. Freeman plays.
“It’s hard to describe, but I feel like it’s more of a look in their eye. They’re so proud of their dad. And getting to just to experience watching it with them. Charlie’s 8 now, so he’s going to remember everything from the last World Series, which I think is so cool,” Chelsea said as per The Post.

Though, the journey hasn’t always been smooth for the Freeman family, particularly after little Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome last summer. Chelsea recalls the tough days in the Pediatric ICU, but what stands out is how the family rallied together to support Max. Now, as he approaches his fourth birthday, his recovery milestones are a source of joy for all of them.
And the thought of him joining Little League brings a smile to Chelsea’s face. However, looking ahead to the upcoming baseball season, the excitement is palpable in the Freeman home. Chelsea and Freddie are dedicated to fostering their kids’ passions. Whether it’s Charlie trying out pitching or the twins gearing up for their first games.

Freddie Freeman Remains Rooted Despite Ankle Injury Management
While his family remains steadfast in making the most to support Freddie Freeman, he’s already facing challenges in managing his ankle injury as the 2025 season approaches. Initially, the plan was for him to play with a taped ankle until the All-Star break.
However, following multiple appearances in the Cactus League, Freeman discovered that the tape was limiting his mobility more than he had anticipated. This realization has prompted him to rethink his strategy for managing the injury, and the original plan is now off the table.
“I gave myself to the game, to the field. I did everything I could to get onto that field. And that’s why this is really, really sweet. I’m proud of the fact that I gave everything I could to this team, and I left it all out there. That’s all I try to do every single night. When I go home and put my head on that pillow, I ask if I gave everything I had that night. And usually, it’s a yes,” Freeman said.

Despite his determination and heroic performance during the 2024 World Series, where he captured hearts with a walk-off grand slam, Freeman’s recovery is not straightforward. He has made it clear that the severity of his injury will necessitate daily treatment throughout the season.
According to him, the ankle is “good enough” but it doesn’t feel like his healthy left ankle. The reality of lower-body injuries, especially the ankle, is that they can be challenging to rehabilitate.
