Stanton, sidelined since late March due to tendonitis in both elbows, remains in Tampa, working through live at-bats and simulated game situations, reported Bryan Hoch.
Despite this progress, manager Aaron Boone indicated Stanton is unlikely to be ready for major league action next week.

Stanton, who recently received the AL Championship ring, has yet to appear in a game this season after being placed on the injured list in March and later transferred to the 60-day IL in May. The Yankees are cautiously managing his recovery, ensuring he achieves game readiness before rejoining the lineup.
Yankees On Top Amid Giancarlo Stanton’s Absence
Despite Stanton’s absence, the Yankees have maintained a strong performance, leading the AL East. Their pitching staff boasts a 3.35 ERA, ranking third in the league, with Max Fried leading the rotation at 7-1 with a 1.92 ERA, and Carlos Rodon contributing a 7-3 record and a 2.60 ERA. The bullpen has also been effective, with Mark Leiter Jr. and Luke Weaver providing reliable relief.
Offensively, Aaron Judge continues to lead the team with 19 home runs, while newcomers Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger have added depth to the lineup. Ben Rice has stepped up in Stanton’s designated hitter role, contributing 11 home runs and 23 RBIs over 50 games.
