It’s bad news after bad news for Yankees fans, and they can only hope for things to get better after the All-Star break. Giancarlo Stanton’s recent injury update has been a huge downfall for the team. The Yanks will not see Stanton swing a bat for a minimum of two months.
The Bronx Bombers have placed their designated hitter on the 60-Day injured List. That said, his return timeline could be somewhere near August or late July. Stanton will come back only after the All-star break and Yankees fans are unhappy. The latest updated sparked unexpected reactions on X.

“I hope he retires. He’s a great playet but the injuries have to be too much at this point. He has many years ahead of him as a sportscaster. Nothing but respect for him and no shame in him walking away,” another fan wrote.

Yankees Claim Outfielder Brian De La Cruz To Replace Giancarlo Stanton

The Yanks needed to create space on their 40-man roster. With Stanton being unsure, they were forced to bring in former Atlanta Braves slugger Brian De La Cruz. The Yanks claimed Cruz from waivers, and they hope to pick up the pace until Stanton returns.
Cruz has been decent at the plate after smashing 21 home runs last season. The slugger held the same .233 batting average as Stanton, with a lower OPS. However, he has five stolen bases. It’s hard for Cruz to replace Giancarlo Stanton. Yet, the Yankees might be able to use him in the outfield.
The Yankees’ captain, Aaron Judge, is off to a fine start as he carries the burden for the team. Recently, a former MLB star compared Judge to an MLB legend.
