Oracle Park had seen it all on Thursday night. Clutch homers, bullpen collapses, and a 17-hit slugfest. But it was a moment of raw frustration from Dane Myers, not the scoreline, that had the crowd buzzing and broadcasters talking. As the Marlins pulled away for a 12-5 win, emotions boiled over, and Giants announcer Mike Krukow wasn’t having any of it.
It all went down in the top of the fifth. With two runners on and momentum building, Spencer Bivens struck out Myers to end the inning. Myers, visibly upset with the call and his own at-bat, stormed off the field, snapped his bat clean over his knee, and threw his helmet on the ground.
The camera caught it all, but what fans remember most is Krukow’s cold one-word reaction on air – “Bush”, a shorthand for bush-league, calling out Dane Myers’ outburst as immature and unprofessional.

Miami continued to pour it on with key two-run doubles by Eric Wagaman in the fifth and Xavier Edwards in the eighth.

Despite Dane Myers’ outburst, the Marlins’ potent offense totaled 12 runs on 11 hits. Jesus Sanchez reached base three times and scored three runs.
The Giants, who are planning to build a Barry Bonds statue, had their moments. Rafael Devers crushed a two-run homer, and Jung Hoo Lee contributed with a three-run double to tie the game at 5-5 briefly.
Dane Myers had limited contributions. Overall, Miami responded with decisive scoring bursts and rounded out the rout. The Marlins will open their series against the Diamondbacks on Friday night in Arizona.
