The Cleveland Guardians are currently struggling, sitting in fourth place in the AL Central, just ahead of the White Sox. To make matters worse, an internal oblique strain has sidelined their No. 1 prospect, Travis Bazzan
The Guardians selected Bazzana with the first overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. Bazzana was their top prospect with lots of promise. It turns out that the slugger suffered an injury during a Double-A Akron game. The team announced that the injury will likely keep him out for 8 to 10 weeks.
Guardians fans are upset because many eagerly expected Travis Bazzana to play in the big leagues. Fans took to social media to react.

Cleveland Guardians Struggle With Tough AL Central Competition

The only team Cleveland seems to be better off in the AL Central is the Whtie Sox. The AL Central has tough competition with the Detroit Tigers on top. The Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City Royals have secured the second and third positions.
Cleveland has a 25-21 record and is struggling to keep up with the pace. The offense has been erratic, and their struggles are continuing with injured players. It’s a hard battle for the team, but they hope to overcome it and make the playoffs.
The playoffs are currently looking out of reach, especially since they have plenty of time for improvement. The Guardians have dropped their week 8 MLB power ranking by one position.
