Josh Naylor had himself quite the Monday night.
Naylor hit a tying grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning and a three-run homer in the 11th, powering a huge comeback that carried the Cleveland Guardians past the Chicago White Sox 12-9.
He also had a run-scoring double in the eighth and finished with eight RBIs. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, Naylor became the first player since the stat became official in 1920 to have eight RBIs from the eighth inning on in a game.
Following his last at-bat, a fan video caught him going absolutely insane on his way to the dugout.
“You can’t f***ing beat me!”
He also took some time to call the opposing pitcher a ‘slut.’
“I want all the smoke, fucking slut.”
It was the first multihomer game for Naylor, back from a horrific leg injury last season. He is 10-for-17 with runners in scoring position this year.
