Jazz Chisholm Jr. never hesitates to speak his mind, even if it’s to defend his rival. Chisholm is known for voicing his opinions, and it’s not the first time he’s held back his thoughts. The Yankees star recently took to social media to defend Shohei Ohtani against NFL star Travis Hunter.
A week ago, Hunter was asked about the difficulty of being a two-way star in the NLF and the MLB. When asked if Ohtani’s job was harder, Hunter disagreed, saying that his role was more challenging.
“Probably me, what I do in football [is harder] because it is a lot on your body. Ohtani, he’s a great player, but you gotta do a lot in football,” Hunter said.
MLB fans lashed out at Hunter for his comment by trolling him. Now, Jazz Chisholm had to play his part. The centerfielder defended Ohtani against Hunter by saying it was not the same.
“Amazing athlete but not the same!” Chisholm responded on X.
Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm reacted to Travis Hunter claiming that it's harder for him to play both sides in football compared to Shohei Ohtani pitching and hitting:

While Hunter probably meant no disrespect, his words didn’t come out right. Ohtani had nothing to say about his comment, but Dodgers fans rallied to support him. Likewise, MLB enthusiasts disagreed with Hunter, and Chisholm was the first Yankees player to disagree. Despite the Dodgers and Yankees’ rivalry growing worse recently, Chishom stepped in to support Ohtani.
