Jazz Chisholm Jr. is currently rehabbing with the Yankees’ Double-A affiliate. Chisholm is waiting to get back in the game, and he’s ready to play any position that the team wants. Recently, he was praised for his unselfish approach to the game.
The Yankees slugger said the team gave him the choice to play third or second base. However, Aaron Boone wanted him to play third, and he was ever-ready to do that.
“I’m a team guy. I’m here to win a ring. Not here to fight over positions. We’ve got some of the best players in the world on our team,” Jazz Chisholm said.

Chisholm’s team spirit sparked major backlash for Boston Red Sox slugger Rafael Devers. The team moved Devers to DH after Alex Bregman arrived. When asked to play first base, Devers refused.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. Impresses In Rehab And Eyes Quick Return
The Yankees slugger can’t wait to get back in the game and make it to the postseason. Chisholm has already taken to a strong start in his rehab and eyes a quick return. The slugger recorded a base hit in his first at-bat while playing in New Jersey.
Chisholm’s return could put several players on the team in a challenging position. Veteran slugger D.J. LeMahieu might need to give up his position. Yankees manager Aaron Boone is still unsure where Jazz will play.
“I want him to work over there this week and in his games over there, keep that flexibility. Then we’ll make a decision one way or the other,” Aaron Boone said via the New York Post.
Jazz Chisholm previously addressed his possible return and position change upon his return. The Yankees will face the Dodgers in their next series at Dodger Stadium.
