
Juan Soto and the New York Mets are off to a fine start this season. The Mets were the first team to win 20 games, and Soto started to get hot at the plate. The slugger had a slow start this season, but he smashed five home runs and averaged .256 at the plate.
The Mets had a great game against the St. Louis Cardinals, but they fell short by one run, resulting in a 5-4 loss. Soto was about to help the team, but was robbed of a home run by rookie outfielder Victor Scott II.

The Mets eventually gave up another run and lost. Juan Soto was in disbelief when he saw his three-run home run slip away. Scott made a leaping catch to help his team win. During a postgame interview, Juan Soto mentioned that he wouldn’t want to experience that again.
“I wouldn’t feel happy at all, but it’s part of the game. Just got to find a different hole next time,” Soto said.

It was a tough loss for the Mets, and Soto felt betrayed after being robbed. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza stated that it was frustrating, but they could do nothing about it.

Juan Soto Picks Up The Pace For The Mets

Former fans and several MLB enthusiasts widely criticized Soto’s slow start. Yet, despite his initial struggle, Mets fans have shown constant support for the slugger. Soto made it clear that he’s not trying to hit home runs; instead, he wants to win games, and the Mets are doing exactly the same.
Soto has 14 RBIs, and his performance has improved over the last couple of weeks. He holds a .374 OBP with a .808 OPS in 129 at-bats. Juan Soto keeps improving, and he’s set to have a strong season. The Mets are having a great time and are the favorites to win the NL East division.
They currently sit at the top of the division with a 22-13 record and held the top spot in the MLB power rankings last week.
