The New York Mets had a wonderful last game, which they could look back on for some time. And it was their million-dollar bet, Juan Soto, who made it all look pretty easy for them.
The Mets delivered a glorious performance against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. They hit a total of seven home runs, all of which were solo shots, thereby tying a Major League record.
This accomplishment marked only the fifth time in franchise history that the Mets achieved such a feat. Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto each contributed two home runs to the game.
Additionally, Francisco Lindor, Jared Young, and Francisco Alvarez added to the tally with their own home runs later in the game. The Mets’ pack sealed an emphatic 11-4 victory for the Mets and ended their seven-game losing streak.

In total, the batting onslaught yielded 15 hits overall, with Soto achieving a season-high four hits and driving in four runs.

The Mets secured a much-needed victory on Saturday, ending a challenging losing streak when they defeated the Phillies 11-4.
Juan Soto was a standout performer, hitting two home runs and driving in four runs, finishing the night with a 4-for-5 batting performance. His two homers came after he worked the count to 3-2 in both at-bats.
However, Soto was all hyped in good faith for his team.
“What happened in the past is already in the past. We just come out to play good baseball and forget about what just happened,” Soto said.

Soto’s performance marked a significant turnaround. Although he faced struggles earlier in the season with a batting average of .256 and 16 home runs. His display against the Phillies was a welcome boost.
The Mets, now at 46-31, had recently faced a tough stretch, losing seven consecutive games, including being swept by Tampa Bay and Atlanta.
