Juan Soto’s return to the Bronx was just the way it was predicted to be with lots of boos and sign boards calling out the slugger. Yankees fans are one of the most loyal fan bases, and they are still upset about his choice to join the Mets.
Soto had a great run with the Yankees, leading them to the World Series. He had great chemistry with the team and their captain, Aaron Judge. Soto and Judge could have been the next “A-Rod” and “Derek Jeter.” However, his ideal choice was to move to Queens.
When Soto returned to Yankees Stadium, the Bronx fans didn’t just boo their former star; the entire right field bleachers turned their backs on him as he took his position in the outfield. Fans lashed out with anger when he tipped his hat at the plate.

Soto drove in one run and walked twice in two appearances at the plate. The Mets were no match for the Yankees at home as they failed to score more than two runs. The Bronx Bombers had a stellar performance as their offense burst open with six runs.
Carlos Rodon was spectacular on the mound with his incredible performance. Rodon secured the win while Luke Weaver saved the game. The Yanks are ranked at No. 10 in their week 7 MLB power rankings.
