The Kansas City Royals have some exciting news for fans who are watching their favourite team up close.
The Royals are calling up top prospect Jac Caglianone for the Major League.
Caglianone, who has been generating buzz as the Royals’ best prospect since Bobby Witt Jr., will be making his debut on Tuesday in St. Louis.
This follows a quick rise through the ranks after being selected sixth overall in the 2024 Draft, having only spent a couple of weeks in Triple-A.

Caglianone has been on fire in the Minor Leagues this season, racking up an impressive 15 home runs and 56 RBIs with a .322 batting average. He really proved himself in Double-A before getting a brief stint in Triple-A, where he continued to show off his big-time power.
The Royals have been keen to give him time to develop, especially as he worked on adjusting to playing in the outfield.

During Spring Training, the team focused on his hitting and first base skills, and he made a great impression on coaches. To make room for Caglianone on the roster, the Royals optioned outfielder Dairon Blanco.
Right now, the Royals are craving some offensive power, averaging just 3.3 runs per game this season. And Caglianone’s hitting abilities could be the spark they need to boost their lineup.
Jac Caglianone Gets Emotional After Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals have just made a big move to improve their struggling offense by promoting Jac Caglianone. Although the news couldn’t have been more special.
Jac received the exciting news from his Minor League manager, Mike Jirschele, in a truly heartfelt moment that was shared in a video by the Royals.
Jirschele kicked things off by asking Jac if he felt ready to step up and help the big league team. After a moment of suspense, he broke the news.
“So you think you’re, you feel like you’re at the point where you can help like them up there. Do you think you could? All right well, then you can get on the charter tomorrow night and go with them,” Jirschele said.

After telling Jac about the promotion, Jirschele urged him to let his family know the happy news right away. He also reminded him to keep everything in perspective, saying, “But remember, it’s still a game. It’s baseball. Yeah, it’s a little higher level, but you know, you can play.”
With a warm hug and a nudge to call his dad, emotions ran high and the young Royals prospect shed little tears. Let’s hope this chance marks beginning of something fantastic.
