Popular sports media personality Kay Adams was brought out to throw the first pitch for Wednesday night’s game between the Cleveland Guardians and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
The 39-year-old Kay Adams had the honors of throwing the first pitch to Clark, the iconic Cubs mascot, before their showdown with the Guardians. Adams showed up to the event with a jersey of Henry Rowengartner, the fictional character played by Thomas Ian Nicholas in the 1993 hit film, “Rookie of the Year.”
The pitch itself was way outside of the batter’s box, but Clark managed to corral it before sharing a hug with the FanDuel TV sportscaster:

We don’t have official confirmation that Kay Adams is a Cubs fan, but this isn’t her first time throwing the first pitch at Wrigley Field. Back in Sept. 2019, when she was still with NFL Network, Adams also threw out the first pitch for a Cubs’ home game against the Seattle Mariners.
Clearly was trying to “float it”

Adams is a well-known superfan of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals, the archrival of the Cleveland Browns. If she enjoys rooting against all Cleveland sports teams, then the date of Wednesday night’s first pitch had to feel extra special.

The Cubs defeated the Guardians 5-4 to secure the series win. They’ll go for the sweep on Thursday at 8:05 p.m. EST, with Cade Horton on the mound against Luis L. Ortiz.
Kay Adams Is In Her Fourth Year With FanDuel TV

After leaving the NFL Network in 2022, Adams signed a broadcasting deal with FanDuel TV, where she has hosted her hit “Up and Adams” program. Less than a year later, beloved sports media personality Pat McAfee got out of his FanDuel contract to land with ESPN, further strengthening Adams’ value to the company.
Adams’ schedule will get much busier in the fall with the 2025 NFL season quickly approaching. The NFL Kickoff Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys takes place on Sept. 4.
