Rafael Devers to the Los Angeles Dodgers?
As per a recent trade proposal, the Dodgers are reportedly eyeing Devers from the Boston Red Sox. The interesting proposal comes after a tumultuous start to the season for the star third baseman.
Devers, a three-time All-Star and one of the most feared hitters in the game, has faced challenges this season. In addition to a sluggish start at the plate, he’s not okay with his ongoing discomfort over positional changes.
The Red Sox’s decision to sign Alex Bregman pushed Devers to the designated hitter spot.
However, it further got complicated when Triston Casas injured his knee. It prompted the team to approach Devers about playing first base.

And his unenthusiastic response hints that the friction between him and the front office might lead to an obvious solution in the form of a trade. And in that case, the Dodgers would be a prime candidate.

The proposed trade would send Devers to LA in exchange for top-tier prospects Josue De Paula, Alex Freeland, River Ryan, and Hyun-Seok Jang.
And Devers would be a perfect fit for their needs, as the Dodgers have a track record of maximizing their payroll to acquire elite talent.

Red Sox Outfielder Follows Rafael Devers’ Suit

The Red Sox are having quite the rollercoaster of a season, and it seems like drama is spilling out from every corner of the clubhouse. The spotlight right now is obviously on superstar Rafael Devers, who’s facing some tough decisions.
After losing his third base position to Alex Bregman, Devers has made it clear that he’d prefer to stick with being a designated hitter rather than learn how to play first base.
This struggle only adds to the team’s overall dynamics, and from an outsider’s view, things are a little odd.
But wait, there’s more.
Outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela is also stirring things up, and not in a good way. Local columnist Sean McAdam pointed out some growing frustration from the Red Sox management over Rafaela’s decision to swing at the first pitch. And that comes even after being advised to hold back.
“There’s some growing frustration within the Red Sox organization about outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela. More than once, Rafaela has been advised in the dugout to take the first pitch in his next at-bat, only to swing freely minutes later.”

It seems like just a simple baseball strategy, but when you ignore the plan laid out by your manager, it can rub people the wrong way.
Rafaela showed promise during spring training, where he displayed good plate discipline, but that seems to have vanished once the regular season kicked in.
His actions have some worrying that he might find himself in hot water if he keeps going against the grain.
