Baseball season is back, and Jon Berti seems to be the first victim to get trolled. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs opened the regular season in Tokyo. While Shota Imanaga had a great start, the Cubs fell short, and Berti played a part in surrendering a run.
After the World Series, Berti, who previously played for the Yankees, called out the Dodgers for their disrespectful comments. While a few MLB enthusiasts and fans agree with Berti, Dodgers fans don’t consider it rude. The former Yankees star mentioned that he’s not heard a World Series-winning team talk as badly as the Dodgers.
A few months later, Dodgers fans are taking it out on Jon Berti after his error cost the Cubs. During the top of the fifth inning, Berti failed to make a double play as his throw to first base was too high. The Dodgers took the lead as Shohei Ohtani was sent home. Dodgers fans immediately took to social media to troll the slugger. Here’s a look at the video with some fan reactions from X.
“Ain’t this the dude that complained the dodgers talked shit,” asked one one.

Jon Berti Look To Impress With The Chicago Cubs

Berti’s 2024 stint with the New York Yankees was limited to only 74 plate appearances. The slugger was out due to injury and smashed only one home run. The Yanks were not keen on retaining him, so they parted ways.
Jon Berti has yet to build a career-breaking year and hopes to do that with the Chicago Cubs. The slugger will do his best to impress his new team as they enter a promising season.
The Dodgers continued to take the lead after Berti’s error. Dodgers fans are worried about Mookie Betts’ absence and the unknown cause of his illness.
