Mookie Betts and Jackson Merrill just called out one MLB fanbase for being downright savage, and it’s not who you might think.
During a recent episode of Betts’ podcast, the Dodgers superstar and Padres rookie were chopping it up about hecklers and ballpark energy when the conversation took a sharp turn toward the Bay Area. Without hesitation, both agreed that San Francisco Giants fans take the crown for being the meanest in the league.
“I gotta say, San Fran has some pretty tough folks over there. They just don’t care,” Merrill said. Betts quickly agreed with the Padres rookie but also added Yankee Stadium to the ‘mean list’ as well.

During the episode, the star duo also discussed some bizarre habits from their minor league days. Betts shared how he didn’t shower after the games and revealed how showering in a room full of men was a “culture shock” to him.
“I’ll never forget, man, where I was from… I shower when I get back to the house,” Betts recalled. “I’m like, I’m not getting in the shower, y’all are tripping.”
