The New York Mets will enter the 2025 season with high expectations. Fans eagerly await to watch Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor carry their team into the playoffs. Last season was a great run, but their improved offense has much to deliver this year.
Steve Cohen broke the internet after signing the biggest deal in sports history. Cohen had one of the most successful offseasons, costing him nearly $1 billion. All that will be a disaster without a playoff run. The franchise must make it to the playoffs this season, but fans want something beyond—a World Series title.
It is a dream come true for Mets fans to watch their team lift the Commissioner’s Trophy. It’s been almost 40 years since the team won a title. However, MLB reporter Britt Ghiroli thinks the team will secure a title this season.
“The Mets win the World Series. I mean they came close they have a deep playoff run. They got a generational hitter. The vibes as the kids like to say are at an all-time high. We all know how good Carlos Mendoza was in his rookie year. Davin Stearns has another year to keep building this organization. Why can’t it be the Mets year. All you have to do is get in and if you get hot at the right time, you can do it. This is a team that is already built to do and have the talent,” Ghiroli said.

Mets Have Pitching Concerns That Need To Be Addressed

Despite their powerful offense, the team needs to address several pitching concerns. Sean Manaea and Frankie Montas are struggling with injuries. While Kodai Senga is picking up the pace, Paul Blackburn has not been effective.

Clay Holmes has been moved from a closer to a starter, and they cannot have another pitching injury. Until Manaea and Montas return, the rest of the pitchers need to take the lead. The franchise also failed to retain Jose Quintana.
Juan Soto and the offense will need to carry the weight and hope to win as many games as possible. Soto recently taught a fan a lesson for saying he’s overpaid.
