The New York Mets are coming off an extra-inning loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both teams went back and forth with the score, but things didn’t work out well when Freddie Freeman stepped up to the plate.
Tylor Megill had a decent performance but wasn’t enough to hold down the opponent. The bullpen surrendered the extra run as the Dodgers won in walk-off fashion. Juan Soto went deep with a two-run blast, but it wasn’t enough against the mighty Dodgers again.
It was a hard loss for the team as they failed to retain their lead. However, the Mets are not taking it easy, and manager Carlos Mendoza shared a strong message to the Dodgers after their loss. Mendoza is ready to take on his opponent in the next battle.
“We know they’re good, but we’re not going to back down,” Carlos Mendoza said.
