Richard Lovelady just went viral for telling New York fans to call him “Dicky.”
An adult site wants to cash in on this, and they’re offering big money. The lefty reliever, who had a short stint with the Mets this week, got a surprise offer from CamSoda. The site offers him $250,000 to appear on one of its NSFW streams. TMZ Sports broke the story on Friday.
Lovelady, 29, found himself in the headlines after asking reporters and fans to call him “Dicky,” just days before the Mets designated him for assignment.
And now, while he waits for another shot at a Major League bullpen, one company thinks his nickname and arm could translate to a different kind of fame.
Adult Site Thinks Lovelady Is The Perfect Fit

CamSoda didn’t hold back. The company’s vice president, Daryn Parker, sent Lovelady a direct pitch. “You’ve made a name for yourself in high-stakes situations, and we believe that same confidence and control could be a hit with our audience,” Parker wrote in a letter. “Whether you’re coming in for the save or just keeping things loose in the bullpen, we think you’ve got the charisma to command the spotlight.”
A spokesperson from CamSoda also told TMZ, “As a left-handed relief pitcher known for handling pressure, we think he’s the perfect fit to bring some heat in a whole new arena.”

The timing is certainly interesting. Lovelady got called up to the Mets’ bullpen on Monday. Two days later, the team designated him for assignment. That puts him in a tough spot, with no guaranteed Big League paycheck and an uncertain future.
CamSoda, however, seems ready to throw him a financial lifeline. Parker ended the letter with one final nudge. “We’ll take care of the tech, the fans, and the lights- you just bring the Lovelady presence that’s already turning heads.”
Richard Lovelady, who’s married and has a child, hasn’t responded publicly. He might be looking for another shot on the mound instead. Still, $250K is hard to ignore, especially when it comes with no pitch count.
