Spring training is underway, and just like all the other teams, the Minnesota Twins are taking on opponents. Several stars have made their spring training debut, while other young players are looking for a promising start with the team.
Before heading out to play, three players from the team had narrowly missed a car accident. Matt Wallner, Edojuard Julien, and Jorge Alcala described the scary incident that almost got them into a terrible accident. While the trio was traveling down for spring training, they saw a car fly over them.
A car was going pretty fast, which caught Wallner’s attention. In no time, the three players saw the car flying six feet high in the air. The Twins players said the incident was “traumatizing and scary.”
“It was something really scary, a little traumatizing,” Alcala said.
“We were just driving straight on that street, and we see a car that was going pretty fast, but honestly, Wallner let me know. He started screaming, like, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God!’ He was cussing a little bit, and I’ve never heard Wallner scared like that,” Julien said.

The second baseman continued to narrate the story of their traumatizing experience. It is something that will stay in his head forever.

“So I look up, and I just see a car that’s in a ditch, like in the middle of the road, just going through bushes and going through trees, smaller trees. And all of a sudden, he just jumps up, like six feet in the air,” Julien continued.
Minnesota Twins Name Derek Falvey As Their New President
Derek Falvey will become the team’s new President of Baseball and Business Operations on March 3. Falvey was previously the team’s Executive Vice President. Dave St. Peter will part ways with the organization as President to make room for Derek Falvey.
Peter was the organization’s President for the last 22 years. He will quit his position and become the team’s strategic advisor. It’s been a long run for Peter as their President. However, he will continue to provide guidance for the team.
The Twins hope to make the playoffs this season but face tough competition in the AL Central. Minnesota will need to stay ahead of the Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, and Kansas City Royals. Meanwhile, the Yankees have expressed interest in J.D. Martinez.
