The Los Angeles Dodgers had the best start in 2025, the best offseason, and are still huge favorites to win the World Series. Likewise, they gathered a lot of hatred after bringing in several top players on the team with deferred payouts.
The Boys in Blue started out with a hot seven-game winning streak. Yet, they drastically dropped to third place in the NL West with a 10-4 record. The Phillies and Nationals were strong opponents of Shohei Ohtani and the squad. While they have experienced a slump, their rival became the first team to win 10 games in the league.
The San Diego Padres are at the top of the division with a 10-3 record. They are a threat to the Dodgers, and their performance has shown incredible resilience. MLB analyst Rob Parker recently made a shocking prediction on the NL West division title.
According to Parker, the Padres can overthrow the reigning World Series champion and win the NL West. Parker outlined a few issues and discussed the team’s spirit and potential to win.
“Look at where the Padres are. They’ve had some injuries and they’re the first team to 10 wins. Last year, they choked against the Dodgers. They should have gone to the World Series,” Parker said via SI.com.

The Padres haven't won the NL West since 2006. The Dodgers have won it 13 times since then…

He further described that Dave Roberts’ team had a sloppy defense and experienced struggles in the last couple of games.

Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman Is All Set To Return Against The Chicago Cubs

It’s time for the team to pick up the pace and rebound from their loss. The good news is that World Series hero Freddie Freeman will return to play against the Chicago Cubs. Freeman was out due to his ankle injury, but he’s back on track and will return for his bobblehead night.
The All-Star slugger had limited performance this season. His return is sure to bolster the team’s offense and help them make up for their loss. Roberts will send one of his best pitchers, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, against the Cubs in Game 1. The Dodgers will hit against Matthew Boyd, who’s off to a fine start this season.
The team is struggling with outfield issues and is rumored to be considering a blockbuster trade with the Chicago White Sox.
