The Pittsburgh Pirates’ current record is fine, but MLB fans’ sentiments about Tommy Pham are not.
The Pirates’ star outfielder has officially completed a decade in the “big league.” However, all too little to win over some of the Pirates fans.
Recently, veteran MLB analyst Jon Heyman tweeted to congratulate Pham for his career achievement.
“Congratulations to Tommy Pham who celebrates his 10 years in the big leagues today,” he wrote.

While it’s a great feat, a dream for many young players, to complete ten long years in the highly competitive league, fans are not buying any of that. Soon after the tweet, fans on social media went on to trash Pham for his recent struggle on the mound.
A large part of this upset could be linked to how the Nevada-born star failed to impress the home crowd.

The Pirates wrapped up an exciting nine-game homestand with a solid 6-3 record. As for Pham, his struggles have been tough to ignore. With a wRC+ of just 44, it’s hard to make a case for keeping him around.
And fans want just that. Trade him away.

While social media says this might only be the sentiments of the fanbase around Tommy Pham, Don Kelly’s choices indicate he’s ready to move on from Pham.
There’s high chances of a shakeup such as hot-hitting Billy Cook or newly claimed Ronny Simon, knocking on the door for a spot on the roster.
With all these things setting the mood, fans are ripping him off on the internet.
“Congratulations to the fact nobody cares,” a fan commented.

Play on Playa
Ultimately, while the Pirates have been playing some good baseball lately, it’s unfortunate they’re doing it without a solid outfielder. While neither Frazier nor Pham was the top answer fans were hoping for, at least Frazier is finding a way to contribute at the plate.
