Los Angeles Angels flamethrower Ben Joyce had a season-ending shoulder surgery, leaving a vacant spot on the team. Joyce is known for clocking 105 MPH with his fastball. The Angels star had a great 2024 season after posting a 2.08 ERA. However, his 2025 stint was not that great.
Joyce held a 1-0 record with a 6.23 ERA in just 4.1 innings pitched. It turns out that he was already struggling with issues, and things got worse when he was forced to undergo surgery. MLB fans are not surprised by Ben Joyce’s injury. Fans blamed his injury for his ability to throw fastballs over 100 MPH frequently.

Angels Bullpen Faces A Crisis Without Ben Joyce
The Los Angeles Angels bullpen will need a strong replacement for Joyce. Despite the pitcher’s bad ERA, he was a strong supporter of the team. Joyce had an incredible arm that helped the team in tough situations.
The Angels are already dealing with injured players. Mike Trout has been placed on the IL and has yet to return. The Angels are at the bottom of the AL West with a bad 17-25 record. Making the playoffs already seems to be a huge challenge.
The Angels are not the only team dealing with injured players. The Dodgers have more than a dozen pitchers on the IL.
