Juan Soto has been a huge target of criticism this season ever since he joined the Mets. After signing the biggest contract in sports, fans expect more from Soto daily. It’s hard for any slugger to keep crushing bombs in every game, but Soto has been noted for his sloppy defense.
Fans have started to troll the slugger so badly that even when he makes a play, they still roast him. During the Mets vs. Dodgers game, Soto made an incredible catch in foul territory. Dodgers catcher Will Smith cranked one deep, and Soto hustled to catch the ball by leaning over the fence.
It was a crucial out for the team, and despite Juan Soto’s strong defense, fans trolled the Mets star on social media. Here’s a look at the video with some fan reactions from X.

Juan Soto’s Two-Run Homer Puts The Mets Back In The Race

Soto is picking up the pace for his team, and he’s starting to deliver in crucial moments. The Mets were trailing the Dodgers 4-3 at the top of the third inning when Soto stepped up to the plate. The slugger waited for the right moment and took Clayton Kershaw deep with a two-run blast.
Soto’s home run put the Mets back in the race as they trailed 4-3. Eventually, they took the lead against the mighty Dodgers. It was Juan Soto’s 11th home run of the season. Again, Soto came up when they needed him, and Mets fans are happy to see him pick up the pace.
The Mets have always had the upper hand against the Dodgers this season. They are ranked No. 2 in the week 10 MLB power rankings and have emerged as the World Series favorites.
