Despite adding top sluggers like Alex Bregman, making the playoffs seems to be a hard challenge for now.
Boston has shown dependency on rookie players as it hopes to pick up the pace for the team. The franchise has changed things around and given sluggers like Kristian Campbell and Anthony Roman a chance to play. However, their rookie players seem to be struggling. Campbell was designated for assignment, and now Anthony is struggling as well.
During their game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Anthony made a costly error that surrendered one run. The Rays eventually won the game ,and Red Sox fans were upset with Roman’s game. Fans took to social media to call out the slugger for his error.

Red Sox’s Struggles Persist As AL East Challenges Get Worse
It’s been a hard run for Boston, with a 32-26 record. The club is nine games behind the Yankees at the top and five games behind the Blue Jays and the Rays. The only team behind Boston is the Baltimore Orioles.
