The Chicago White Sox had a disastrous season last year, finishing with the worst record in the league. The franchise recorded the most losses in the modern era after winning only 41 of 162 games. The entire team struggled to perform as things fell apart.
Fans criticized their performance, and their home stadium was mostly empty. They had a 21-game losing streak between July 10 to August 5. The pitching was another disaster after surrendering the most walks in the league. The team fired Manager Pedro Grifol, and Grady Sizemore took over as interim manager for the rest of the season.
It was a bad run in the franchise’s history. The Chicago White Sox have put that behind them and hope to make a comeback in 2025. Opening Day has arrived, and early playoff predictions for several teams are already out. However, many believe that they will not make the playoffs again.
It’s hard for a team to have a strong comeback, especially after having a historically bad season. The franchise has not made significant changes in the offseason. That said, the playoffs are going to be a challenge. Yet, it’s not right to troll the team even before they started playing.
Jon Heyman Called Out The White Sox Fan For Saying The Team Is Eliminated

A White Sox fan posted on social media, claiming the team had no shot at making the playoffs. While he intended to make fun, MLB insider Jon Heyman thinks it was not polite to do such a thing. To make things worse, it came from a fan.
Heyman reposted the image shared by the fan on social media. The insider said that they should not tolerate such behavior.

“This sort of thing is very rude and must not be tolerated! (Lol)“
What’s surprising is that Heyman wrote (Lol) after his statement. It’s understood that such things are done only to make people laugh. Yet, players and other fans might not like the idea. Some fans took the joke lightly, while others agreed it was wrong. White Sox fans are having a hard time and only hope their team will avoid another disastrous season.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers have decided on their White House visit after the World Series win.
