The Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorites to win this 2025 season. With one of the best rosters in the league, they have already taken to a great start. The pitching rotation is undeniably one of the best, and their offensive power is incredible.
The Boys in Blue are poised to make it to the postseason and win the NLCS. Yet, a few people think that there is one team that could topple them with their stacked roster. MLB insider Ken Rosenthal recently opened up on an equally strong team that could defeat the reigning World Series champions.
“The depth they have built just in the month of March. It just seems to me their rotation is going to be a huge strength for them,” Rosenthal said.
The insider thinks the Atlanta Braves will be a tough competition for the Dodgers in the National League.
“They’ve built offensive depth, they got Strider coming back at some point, it seems most likely in April. They’ve got Acuna coming back in May Sean Murphy will also be back. I just like where they are and I kinda seem them being underplayed right now. All focus so much on the Dodgers, but the Braves have a pretty darn good roster,” Rosenthal continued.
Rosenthal believes the Atlanta Braves have a strong starting rotation to help them stand out against several teams.

Former Dodgers Pitcher Julio Urias Gets Suspended By MLB

The MLB suspended former Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias for domestic violence. Urias will not be able to take the mound until the All-Star break. In 2019, he received a 20-game suspension and has not pitched since September 2023.
The pitcher was looking for a strong comeback in the big leagues. However, things have fallen apart, and his chances of signing with another team are pretty slim. MLB’s Commissioner, Rob Manfred, mentioned that Urias violated the league’s policy. After the 2023 word series, Urias became a free agent since his one-year contract had expired.
The Dodgers have enough pitchers and will certainly not pursue Urias. Ken Rosenthal also mentioned that the team is dealing with a numbers problem that could affect them.
