MLB Power Rankings Week 14 is HERE!
Summer is just beginning, with June nearly over, and MLB competition keeps getting more intense.
The top MLB teams stay strong in the rankings, while surprise teams are starting to climb toward the top spot, and some teams are slipping further into obscurity. After the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals, baseball will take center stage for the rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing which teams heat up in July.
Here are your latest MLB Power Rankings.
Who are the top-ranking MLB teams after week 14 of action?
30) Colorado Rockies (Last week 30)

The Rockies had an ugly week, getting swept by the Dodgers and losing a brutal 1-2 series against the Brewers. Orlando Arcia hit the tying home run in game three against the Brewers, helping them secure the win. However, the Rockies’ offense struggled against fierce pitching from both the Dodgers and Brewers. Especially on the road, as the Rockies have an 11-33 record during road games. Oh, and manager Warren Schaeffer was ejected for arguing a strikeout call against Tyler Freeman in game three against the Brewers.
29) Chicago White Sox (Last week 29)

The White Sox had an okay week, which could’ve been better, losing a 1-2 series against the Diamondbacks, but won a 2-1 series against the Giants. Lenyn Sosa homered twice against the D-Backs in game three, and Adrian Houser pitched seven effective innings against the Giants in game two. The White Sox offense woke up from a slumber and came to life against the Giants, especially in game three, when they came back from behind in the seventh inning and won out.
28) Athletics (Last week 26)

The Athletics had a rough week 14 in the MLB, losing their series to the Tigers and Yankees, respectively. Jacob Lopez pitched seven effective innings in game two against the Tigers, and Brent Rooker and Nick Kurtz each hit home runs in game two against the Yankees. Even though the A’s offense had a couple of good moments during the week, they mostly struggled against elite pitching from the Tigers and Yankees. The A’s have a lot of work to do to get themselves out of last place in the AL West.
27) Washington Nationals (Last week 25)

The Nationals started the week on a rough note, losing a tough 1-2 series against the Padres, but rebounded with a nice 2-1 series win over the Angels. James Wood had a three-run home run, along with three hits and four RBIs against the Padres in game one, and Josh Bell and Jacob Young each drove in three runs apiece in the team’s game one victory over the Angels. The Nationals’ bats were mostly silent against the Padres’ pitching, but came to life against the Angels, especially coming from behind in their game three win.
26) Pittsburgh Pirates (Last week 28)

The Pirates started the week on a rough note, losing a tough 1-2 divisional series against the Brewers, but were able to earn the sweep against the Mets. Nick Gonzales had five hits and two RBIs in game one against the Brewers, and Oneil Cruz homered twice in the Pirates’ 12-1 dominant game three win over the Mets. Even though the Pirates aren’t the best-hitting team in the majors, they are a scrappy team that can emerge every once in a while against some of the best teams in the MLB. Although we would like to see the Pirates earn more sweeps moving forward.
25) Baltimore Orioles (Last week 24)

The Orioles started the week on a sluggish note, losing a tough 1-2 series against the Rangers, but winning a nice 2-1 divisional series against the Rays. Trevor Rogers allowed three hits and struck out four batters in eight innings played in game one against the Rangers, and the Orioles’ bats came to life in their 22-8 game one victory over the Rays. Interim manager Tony Mansolino was very proud of the Orioles’ hitters for their effectiveness against the Rays in game one and praised the effectiveness of the team’s starters in their 5-1 game three win against the Rays.
24) Kansas City Royals (Last week 19)

The Royals had an awful week, getting swept by the Rays and losing a brutal 1-2 series against the Dodgers. Vinnie Pasquantino hit a home run and drove in five RBIs in the team’s game two win against the Dodgers with Shohei Ohtani on the mound. However, the rest of the week was brutal for the Royals, as their offense struggled near the halfway point of the 2025 MLB season. Especially in games two and three against the Rays, where they couldn’t get runs on the board.
23) Miami Marlins (Last week 27)

Who are you? And what have you done with the Marlins? As they sweep both the Giants and the Diamondbacks, respectively! Kyle Stowers and Agustín Ramírez each hit home runs in the team’s game three win against the Giants, and Ramírez hit a run-scoring single in game two against the Diamondbacks. If the Marlins continue to play aggressively against their opponents, they will further climb the rankings in the NL East and cause some mayhem to MLB teams looking to make a postseason run.
22) Atlanta Braves (Last week 23)

The Braves started the week splitting a four-game series with the Mets, but lost a tough 1-2 divisional series against the Phillies. Matt Olson hit three RBIs against the Mets in game two, including a tie-breaking single, and Spencer Schwellenbach struck out a career-high 12 batters in seven innings in game two against the Phillies. Although the Braves’ offense and pitching have been inconsistent and have dealt with injuries, they do have their bright moments that help uplift the team.
21) Minnesota Twins (Last week 21)

The Twins had a decent week, splitting a four-game series against the Mariners, but losing a tough 1-2 divisional series against the Tigers. Joe Ryan struck out eight batters in six innings in game three against the Mariners, and Byron Buxton homered and scored twice in game one against the Tigers. Despite some bright spots from Buxton, Ryan, and Trevor Larnach in game four against the Mariners, the Twins struggled to contain the Tigers’ aggressive hitting and strong pitching throughout the divisional series.
20) Cleveland Guardians (Last week 17)

The Guardians had a rough week 14 in the MLB, losing a tough 1-2 series against the Blue Jays and being swept by the Cardinals. José Ramírez hit a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning of game two against the Blue Jays, but the Guardians struggled during the rest of the week, as they couldn’t contain the Cardinals’ red hot offense, particularly in games one and three, nor could the Guardians’ offense get any runs on the board in games one and three as well.
19) Boston Red Sox (Last week 14)

The Red Sox had themselves a rough week, as they were swept by the Angels on the road and lost a tough 1-2 divisional series against the Blue Jays. Wilyer Abreu hit a three-run home run in the team’s 15-2 win over the Blue Jays, and Trevor Story had two RBIs in game three against the Angels. The Red Sox pitching and bullpen have taken a massive step back in the week, as Walker Buehler posted an ERA of 11.07 in June. Meanwhile, the offense has slumped during the week as well.
18) Texas Rangers (Last week 20)

The Rangers had an okay week, which could’ve been better, winning a 2-1 series against the Orioles, but lost a tough 1-2 series against the Mariners. Jacob deGrom struck out seven batters in over seven innings of game three against the Orioles, and Marcus Semien hit an RBI single with the bases loaded in the 10th inning of game two against the Mariners. Despite losing a tough divisional series against the Mariners, the Rangers showed grit and fight throughout the week, and should continue racking up more runs in the coming weeks before the MLB All-Star break.
17) Los Angeles Angels (Last week 21)

The Angels had a very good week, sweeping the Red Sox at home, but losing a tough 1-2 series against the Nationals. Yusei Kikuchi struck out a season-high 12 batters in seven innings of game three against the Red Sox, and Mike Trout hit a game-tying home run in game two against the Nationals. The Angels’ offense took advantage of the Red Sox pitching woes for an impressive sweep against them, but the team must rebound after their lost series against the Nationals.
16) Arizona Diamondbacks (Last week 15)

The Diamondbacks started the week well with a 2-1 series win against the White Sox, but were swept by the Marlins. Pavin Smith hit two home runs and had four RBIs in game one against the White Sox, and Alek Thomas and Geraldo Perdomo each had a seventh-inning RBI in game two against the White Sox. The D-Backs’ bullpen couldn’t help the team out in their lost series against the Marlins, as A.J. Puk and Justin Martinez are both on the injured list, as Martinez recovers from Tommy John surgery.
15) Seattle Mariners (Last week 18)

The Mariners had a decent week 14 in the MLB, splitting a four-game series against the Twins and winning a 2-1 divisional series against the Rangers. Bryan Woo struck out nine batters in six innings of game one against the Twins, and Mitch Garver hit a two-run home run and had four RBIs to close the Rangers out in game three. The Mariners are slowly coming back to form, but they have a lot of catching up to do against the Astros to regain control of first place in the AL West.
14) Cincinnati Reds (Last week 16)

The Reds had themselves a nice week, winning their series against the Yankees and Padres, respectively. Elly De La Cruz hit a home run, tripled, and had three RBIs in the team’s game one win against the Yankees, and Nick Martinez allowed one hit and struck out six batters in over eight sharp innings in game one against the Padres. The Reds are looking sharp and dangerous, as they have the potential to be a dark-horse team if they continue to play effective baseball on all fronts.
13) San Francisco Giants (Last week 9)

The Giants had an ugly week, as they were swept by the Marlins and lost a tough 1-2 series against the White Sox. Patrick Bailey hit a go-ahead two-run triple in game one against the White Sox, but the rest of the team struggled throughout the week. The Giants’ bullpen couldn’t stop the Marlins’ and White Sox offenses from getting runs on the board, and Justin Verlander continues to struggle and hasn’t earned that elusive win yet. If the Giants continue to free-fall, they can kiss their postseason chances goodbye.
12) San Diego Padres (Last week 13)

The Padres had a decent week 14 in the MLB, winning a 2-1 series against the Nationals, but lost a tough 1-2 series against the Reds. Nick Pivetta struck out 10 batters in game three against the Nationals, and Gavin Sheets hit a three-run homer in game two against the Reds. Even though the Padres started the week with a nice series win over the Nationals, the team’s bullpen struggled to contain the Reds from getting hits and scoring runs. The Padres should be able to bounce back from their lost series against the Reds and continue to play well as the summer keeps on rolling.
11) Toronto Blue Jays (Last week 8)

The Blue Jays had a very nice week, winning their series against the Guardians and Red Sox, respectively. George Springer hit a grand slam in game one against the Guardians, and José Berríos pitched seven scoreless innings in game one against the Red Sox. The Blue Jays have been playing well with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. having 12 home runs so far, and Alejandro Kirk with a 0.315 batting average so far, and the team is catching up to the Rays and Yankees for control of the AL East.
10) St. Louis Cardinals (Last week 11)

The Cardinals had a nice week, splitting a four-game divisional series against the Cubs and sweeping the Guardians with ease. Alec Burleson and Brendan Donovan each hit two home runs in game one against the Cubs, and Sonny Gray struck out 11 and allowed one hit in game one against the Guardians. The Cardinals have been playing some very nice baseball and must continue playing well on all fronts if they are to catch up to the Brewers and Cubs for control of first place in the NL Central.
9) Milwaukee Brewers (Last week 10)

The Brewers had a very nice week, winning their series against the Pirates and Rockies, respectively. Joey Ortiz hit two home runs in game two against the Pirates, and Quinn Prestor pitched seven dominant innings, striking out 11 batters and allowing one hit in game one against the Rockies. Similar to their MLB rivals, the Cardinals, the Brewers have also been playing well and are gunning for first place in the NL Central.
8) Tampa Bay Rays (Last week 8)

The Rays started the week on a high note, sweeping the Royals, but losing a tough 1-2 divisional series against the Orioles. Shane Baz allowed three hits and struck out nine batters in eight powerful innings against the Royals in game three, and Jonathan Aranda and Yandy Díaz each homered in game two against the Orioles. Despite the lost series against the Orioles, the Rays have made serious strides during the month and are looking more like a dangerous dark-horse wildcard team ready to cause havoc in the postseason, if they continue playing like they are by the fall.
7) New York Mets (Last week 6)

The Mets started the week splitting a four-game series against the Braves, but were swept by the Pirates. Juan Soto homered twice against the Braves in game three, and Pete Alonso had three hits and an RBI in game four against the Braves. Even though Soto has been playing well in the month with a batting average of 0.258 so far, the Mets’ pitching hasn’t been living up to par, as they can’t get through five innings of baseball for most of the week, which is a problem the team must address before and after the MLB All-Star Break.
6) New York Yankees (Last week 5)

The Yankees started the week slowly, losing a 1-2 series against the Reds, but bounced back with a solid 2-1 series win over the Athletics. Jasson Dominguez and Trent Grisham both had four hits in game three against the Reds, and Aaron Judge hit two home runs with four RBIs in game three against the A’s. The Yankees’ offense is one of the league’s best, as they kept going to end the week on a positive note. However, the team needs to make adjustments in the bullpen during late innings and extra-inning situations.
5) Chicago Cubs (Last week 4)

The Cubs had a decent week, splitting a four-game series against the Cardinals but losing a tough 1-2 series against the Astros. Ian Happ hit a leadoff home run and had three RBIs against the Cardinals in game three, and Kyle Tucker launched a three-run homer against his former team, the Astros, in game two. Although the Cubs have been playing great baseball so far in the 2025 MLB season, they were rocked by the AL West-leading Astros and must find a way to generate runs against tough pitchers in the coming weeks.
4) Philadelphia Phillies (Last week 3)

The Phillies started the week on a negative note, getting swept by the Astros, but rebounded with a 2-1 divisional series win over the Braves. Trae Turner hit two of the Phillies’ five homers in game one against the Braves, and Ranger Suárez struck out eight batters in seven sharp innings in game three against the Braves. Despite earning the series win over the Braves, the Phillies’ offense struggled against the Astros’ aggressive pitching, even though the Phillies’ pitching played well during the week.
3) Houston Astros (Last week 7)

The Astros had a triumphant week, sweeping the Phillies and winning a 2-1 series over the Cubs. Victor Caratini hit a home run and had an RBI in the team’s game two win over the Phillies, and Jose Altuve hit a two-run home run in the team’s game three win over the Cubs. The Astros’ offense has been playing well, but the team’s pitching has been on fire and is looking more dangerous against opposing MLB batters every week.
2) Detroit Tigers (Last week 1)

The Tigers had a very nice week, winning their series against the Athletics and Twins, respectively. Dietrich Enns struck out four batters in five scoreless innings of game three against the Athletics, and Zach McKinstry and Riley Greene both homered in game two against the Twins. The Tigers continue to play very effective baseball on all fronts, especially at pitching, where they show their dominance against opposing offenses.
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (Last week 2)

The Dodgers had a very impressive week, sweeping the Rockies with ease and winning a 2-1 series against the Royals. Max Muncy hit a grand slam, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched five impressive innings in game two against the Rockies, and Kiké Hernández hit a two-run homer against the Royals in game three. Even though Shohei Ohtani suffered a loss on the mound in game two against the Royals, the Dodgers’ high-powered offense continues to make life miserable for opposing pitchers, and the Dodgers’ pitching unit continues to strike fear in opposing MLB batters.
