The Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes recently revealed one of his dreams apart from playing baseball. Skenes, who’s known as the flame thrower, is also keen on serving in the US military after he’s done with his career.
Many have known the Pirates star to be a calm and quiet player. Yet, it was a surprise when his former coach, Mike Kazlausky, revealed his dream of joining the US military.
“Pirates star pitcher Paul Skenes plans to serve in the US military once he finishes his baseball career, according to his former coach, Mike Kazlausky. It’s a big deal for Paul to be able to serve our country.”

“Is he planning on having a short career? Because there is an age limit on the military and I’m sure he’ll want to spend some time and money before putting his life on the line,” one fan chimed in.

Paul Skenes Continues His Dominant Performance For The Pirates

The Pirates have won several games with Skenes on the mound. His fastball and constant top-notch performance have been incredible. Despite holding a 4-7 record, the All-Star has a stellar 2.03 ERA.
Sadly, the Pirates’ offense and bullpen were unable to support Paul Skenes in most of his starts. The pitcher has 115 strikeouts in 111 innings pitched and a spectacular 0.92 WHIP. Pittsburgh has dropped its position in the week 13 MLB power rankings.
