It’s just another day in the life of a Philadelphia Phillies fan to hate on the Atlanta Braves. And this time again, Spencer Strider is at their crossfire.
Recently, the Phillies fans found another reason to go up against the Braves during their recent game.
The tension flared during a key NL East matchup when Strider hit star player Bryce Harper with a 95-mph fastball. It caused Harper to leave the game, although he fortunately sustained no serious injury.
However, Strider found himself affected by the incident as no one would want to hit another player with a baseball. Even though they are arch rivals.
He expressed his regret over the incident and emphasized his respect for Harper and his desire to see him healthy and competing.
“I’m certainly not trying to hit him. In the moment, I assumed he had a guard on. I was just pissed I hit him. I saw him in pain and that was tough. I’m definitely relieved he is OK. He’s one of the best players of this century. So, he needs to be on the field. That’s best for the game and it’s good for us. It’s good to compete against him,” Strider said.

However, despite Strider’s sincere apology, Philadelphia fans remained unforgiving. They dedicated the rest of the evening to cursing his name.
Additionally, they are now lashing out and want to intentionally take revenge by hitting Ronald Acuna Jr. It’s just too damn follow up to be honest.
Phillies Fans Call For Revenge On Ronald Acuna Jr. Over Spencer Strider’s Response

Harper is undoubtedly one of the city’s most beloved athletes. And hitting him means hitting the Philadelphia fans right on their face.
They took to social media to voice their frustration and are now targeting Acuna Jr.
“What do you expect him to say? Acuna needs to get drilled unintentionally as well,” a fan commented.

“fans themselves, I wonder if they can’t stand Strider either,” a fan pointed.
I know fans of opposing teams don’t like him. What about @Braves fans themselves, I wonder if they can’t stand Strider either.

Phillies fans’ reaction is understandable considering the potential impact of a Harper injury on their team, but it seems excessive at this point.
