In a hypothetical scenario, almost all of the teams in MLB would line up in a bidding war for Kyle Schwarber.
Recently, the Philadelphia Phillies president, Dave Dombrowski, predicted that teams could go all in for Kyle in the near future.
Schwarber has had an impressive run this season. The 32-year-old slugger has been putting out great numbers lately. However, the timing of the discussion is interesting, as the Phillies star is in the last year of his four-year, $79 million contract.
During a recent chat on The Show with hosts Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman, Phillies president Dombrowski shared his thoughts on Schwarber’s future with the team.
Despite some ups and downs from other key players like Bryce Harper and Trea Turner this season, Dombrowski couldn’t say enough good things about Schwarber’s reliability and talent.
“Well, Schwarbs has been fantastic for us. Four years, we’ve made it to the postseason the previous three, and I hope again we do it this year…he’s what you want out of a club. We’ll see where that takes us. He’s putting up big numbers, and I’m sure there’ll be a lot of other clubs that are interested in him too. But we’d love to keep him part of the organization and hope that it happens,” Dombrovski said.

Dombrowski also made it clear that he wants to keep Schwarber around for the long haul. But there are challenges to consider. With Schwarber putting up impressive numbers, it’s likely that other teams will be interested in snagging him, too.
