Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is having a great season, and his recent performance against the Padres has been outstanding. The Boys in Blue had the advantage over the Padres throughout this season, and they continue to dominate.
The Dodgers—Padres rivalry keeps getting intense, with pitchers plucking opponent hitters. In Game 2, Dylan Cease hit Andy Pages, and things heated up. Game 3 was no different, as the Padres went out and hit Ohtani.
During the bottom of the third inning, Randy Vasquez threw a 94 MPH ball that caught Shohei Ohtani on his thigh. Dodger Stadium erupted with outrage, and fans took to social media to call out the team. Here’s a look at the video with some fan reactions from X.

Dave Roberts Gets Ejected For Defending Shohei Ohtani

It’s natural for managers to come out and support their players, especially if it’s a superstar like Ohtani. After Dave Roberts believed the pitcher intentionally targeted Ohtani, he rushed out to confront the umpires.
Despite the umpires’ warning to both benches, things got out of hand. Roberts argued with Marvin Hudson, who appeared frustrated. Roberts lashed out, and Hudson was thrown out of the game.
After Game 2, Padres’ Manny Machado stated that the Dodgers have big stars that they could hit, and nothing was intentional. Shohei Ohtani continues his hot-hitting streak for the Dodgers, and he’s already started pitching for the team.
