Dodger Stadium is the hottest ticket in town again, and this time, it is not just about Shohei Ohtani’s bat. The two-way superstar is set to make his much-anticipated pitching debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday against the Padres. However, fans will have to empty their pockets to be there. A quick scan of resale platforms shows seats ranging from $98 in the upper decks to $2,668 behind home plate.

This will be Ohtani’s first time pitching since August 23, 2023, when he tore his UCL while playing for the Angels. He underwent Tommy John surgery shortly after and spent nearly a year recovering, followed by additional rehab after a labrum issue in late 2024. Now, after a few bullpen sessions and a simulated game, the Dodgers have confirmed that the reigning MVP will throw “a few innings” in a piggyback role.
Ohtani’s Comeback Adds Firepower To Dodgers’ Rotation

The Dodgers need arms with a long list of pitchers on the IL. Meanwhile, Ohtani won’t be stretched out; his presence, even for a few innings, could boost morale. His career pitching line remains stellar: 38-19 with a 3.01 ERA and 608 strikeouts in 481.2 innings.
Offensively, he has already made his mark in Los Angeles. In 2025, Ohtani is hitting .297 with 25 home runs, a .642 SLG, and 1.034 OPS, ranking among MLB’s elite. He is coming off a two-homer performance against the Giants and has not missed a beat at the plate during his pitching absence.
With the hype building and fans packing into Dodger Stadium, all eyes will be on Monday night. If Ohtani looks anything like the ace we remember, the Dodgers might have just unlocked their ultimate midseason weapon, again.
