Juan Soto and the New York Mets are getting along well and seem to be winning more games. What’s more surprising is that they are defeating the defending World Series champions. The Mets have dominated the Dodgers this season and will stop at nothing.
Soto might have had a slow start, but he’s been consistent in getting on base. He continues to draw walks and presents other hitters with a good opportunity to score runs. While the Mets were up against the Dodgers in Game 2, Soto and his teammates were having a little fun in the dugout.
The Mets were leading the game at the top of the ninth inning when Juan Soto, Starling Marte, Jose Siri, Luisangel Acuna, and Francisco Alvarez decided to test their skills with the bottle-flip challenge.
Attempts flew left and right, most ending in defeat and laughter. But when it was Soto’s turn, he picked up the bottle casually and gave it a smooth flip, landing it on his first try. Here’s a look at the video below.

What was even more surprising was that Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez made a playful but sarcastic comment about Soto.
“He’s telling them, that’s why they pay me the big bucks guys,” Keith Hernandez said.

Juan Soto Ranks Third In The MLB For Walks

Soto knows how to get on base and knows when it will be a ball. The Mets star has drawn 48 walks in total and is ranked No. 3 in the league. The only two players ahead of Soto are Rafael Devers with 50 and Marcell Ozuna with 49.
Soto’s on base percentage is at .366 and the Mets have benefitted from his walks. The team has been able to score with runners on base and they continue to dominate the National League with the best record (39-23).
The Chicago Cubs are trailing the Mets, and the Dodgers are still two games behind. Even the Philadelphia Phillies are struggling to make it to the top of the NL East. Juan Soto has played a significant role in contributing to their success. The slugger had a great game against the Dodgers, walking thrice and having an epic showdown with Tony Gonsolin.
